Clara is a retired music critic who lives alone in a house full of records by the sea. She is the only one left to oppose the group of developers who want to acquire all the apartments in the building where she lives. While this charismatic woman recalls the past with the nostalgia brought on by her house being at risk of demolition, at the same time she continues to live her life as she pleases. Holding a mirror to Brazil’s social issues through Clara’s impressive resistance, the film premiered in the official competition of the 2016 Cannes Film Festival.
