One of the films that stood out at this year’s Locarno Film Festival, Wonderland (Heimatland) was made by an ensemble of 10 directors. Bringing together a new generation of emerging Swiss filmmakers, this science-fiction project explores what might happen if the country were faced with the worst possible scenario. As the great flood is approaching, the Swiss population starts emigrating to Germany in throngs, supermarkets are looted, and the police are unable to bring the situation under control.
