YANNICK, 2023

France | DCP, Color, 67’ | French
Director: Quentin Dupieux
Cast: Raphaël Quenard, Pio Marmaï, Blanche Gardin

In his latest film, extraordinary French director Quentin Dupieux follows a disgruntled audience member at a bad boulevard comedy who interrupts the show and takes matters in his own hands. Yannick's rebellion raises a series of questions about our relationship with art in a Brechtian manner, while addressing issues such as the lack of affection in today's societies in a simple and satirical way. Raphaël Quenard, who plays the lead role in this absurd comedy, impresses with his performance. The film won the Best European Film Prize at the Locarno Film Festival. In the director's own words, "99% of all films are boring. Not this one.”

This film can be viewed on November 30, 17.00 & December 3, 15.00.
